Mike Pompeo is brilliant man and like others has had his share of stupid reporters asking knowing all questions in a belligerent way. Not knowing about past meetings together if this encounter and his response was justified or not.

LTC Lee Bouchard - It is never justified from a public official addressing the public. They work for all of us. The ones that agree, the ones that disagree, the reporters, all of us. If he can't take the pressures of the job, he probably doesn't belong there.

SPC Kevin Ford - He is allowed to be blunt and to the point. It took place in a private room and not in public. She made it public. A true lady would not. Pressure? Try being a student at West point. I taught there for a couple of years. He graduated where in his class? Look at his background and past assignment's. I'm not sure what he and I have in common except a couple of things.
1. I do not like the press. 2. I do not tolerate stupidity and incompetence. 3. Will not stand for attacks without a rebuttal and lastly, tell the truth and never lie to anyone about anything.
Things taught at West point. Likely not where she went to school. Reporters and journalists are without honor and never held accountable for anything said or printed.
Right up to the same level as members of Congress.

LTC Lee Bouchard - No, that's not how adults should speak to each other. He behaved poorly and she was right to call him out on it.
As far as your third point, ummm, really? Lying is kind of the trademark of the Trump administration, including Pompeo.

I don't recall a single administration who had a love affair with the media. Reporters are out there to sell hype and sensation. Mostly not well informed. They attack without tact.
Often rude and make their best effort to embarrass the other person in public. You can argue there are some good reporters and there are. Too bad they are outnumbered by the dumpster divers looking for the news.

Only need to look as far as the Juan Williams firing by NPR to form a conclusion here, especially with the personal remarks made in the interview............which is what they fired Juan Williams for. Though Juan Williams was quoted out of context by NPR as the reason for the termination and was giving an example of how we shouldn't treat other people despite our personal fears (an example of how this society will never have an open discussion on racism). NPR warped it and edited his comments to be bigoted vs the context in which they were actually made. They fired Juan. He is on FOX NEWS now.
The working theory of course is NPR fired him because he appeared on FOX News and that was such a major transgression that it could not be tolerated. Even though there was nothing in his contract prohibiting it.

MAJ Ken Landgren - I believe NPR is wildly inconsistent in it's interviewing policies on what is and is not acceptable based on who is being interviewed. NPR was criticized openly for the firing by the left as well because Juan was quoted out of context. Juan Williams is also a liberal......not that it matters. The decision to fire did not come from HR but directly from the CEO of NPR based on her personal feelings it was made clear in comments she later made publicly.

Thanks for the facts. Libs hate the truth after being lied to by CBS, ABC, CNN and others over the years. It is this bias and lying in reporting that gave birth to FOX and right wing radio talk shows. They are not happy to hear there is another side of the story. Maybe a more truthful side. Now feeling angary about being mislead over the years they want to do as in Rome, kill the messenger after blaming the messenger all things about the message. And the message is about them!

The question he was asked was neither rude nor out of line, just the kind of thing reporters are supposed to ask, he panicked when she asked for an answer
