They need to leave the doctors alone, worry about something more relevant.

Its pretty disturbing the cuts in Medical Doctors in the Military, there is already a shortage that is showing and they are going to cut more ? It shows how little these people care about Military members and families as they erode what is available to them. I've watched over the years how they have cut and cut and outsourced and the negative effect its had on Military members and even retirees as less and less access was available. Even those Military medical facilities that still operate have reduced hours already, can handle fewer patients and even no more Emergency rooms on the bases or post. Doctors, Nurses and medics are in constant need and are thanks to those ' Cutting Cost" become less available. With all the waste and stealing resources it seems Congress itself is the home of real waste, overspending and misuse of funds.

There's surely a lot changing with DHA taking over! Was just in San Antonio and they were talking about how many of the MTOEs are changing across the board. Much of the AMEDD is in crosshairs with some of the bigger hospitals already seeing dramatic reductions in green suiters.

I expect physician recruitment to become problematic if they face a work environment with a "greater emphasis for military doctors on combat-related needs". Physicians like to practice their craft. If they no longer get to do that as much, they likely won't serve.
