Despicable, to be sure.
I stand by my daughters (and my son) when it comes to their safety and well being. They know that it's OK for them to kick someone's *ss if they feel that's what it takes to defend themselves or otherwise make an attack stop. And they also know they have my full support on such matters, regardless of whatever the outcome may be for having taken a violent action.
A lot of people don't seem to understand that expecting an institution to curb such actions isn't always enough. You don't get what you expect all the time...that's reality. So defend yourself, defend your family, and teach your family to defend themselves as well.
And hold those responsible for curbing this behavior accountable for their actions...or lack of actions.
