Yes we definitely had our own language in Vietnam, Cherry boy's, short timers, Pollock mine sweepers, gooks, I could go on forever, but it would be better for everyone to read the article, great post Maj.

The bird is the word, Freedom bird, I've been fragged, don't get up tight, slack time, pun tang, nothin but a thing. I haven't thought about these in years. Even though I didn't go to Vietnam a lot of others in my unit 124th Maint Bn, 1974, and they brought back a lot of extra baggage that I had to cope with.
