Military Suicides: Most Attempts Come Before Soldiers Ever See Combat

That is interesting. I wonder how many attempted and completed suicides are due to workplace bullying, mobbing, sexual harassment and assault?

Its complete bull and it gets me so angry that people write about things that are so horrific and permanent. We have so many of our brothers and sisters out there dieing its so sad and especially if anyone knew what it felt like inside right before you commit suicide. So take that statistic and put it where the sun doesn't shine. Here are the facts we do loose a lot of men and woman even during the times that where not at war. Dear John letters are killers, at the begining you join the service and your getting through boot camp. Finaly you feel like Im doing something worth while, nobel, and maybe even superhero like. You fantasize about going home to show how good of shape your in now, and to show your dream girl your man is now ready to tie the knot. The problem your dumb ass weed head so called friend that couldnt even muster enough balls to serve his country has been telling your girl lies and she is now with him. I have seen this over and over and yes it a high number of suicides. So why is it higher then the suicides of our vets that went on deployment or severed in a hostile environment. Its not they just label these suicides in a different manner. What do I mean we call most of our deaths when our vets come back from war as overdoses from addiction, or car accidents from alcoholism. Our vets get back from war have all kinds of crap in there head, cant find a job, wife has left them, and so on. Some pick up a gun, a drug, or a drink either way its a guy or girl that has served there country and now feels like they dont belong. Some have courage to just blow their head off and some do it different way. But believe me that horrible feeling and I mean horrible feeling is the same no matter if you pull a triger, inject a substance, or if you doing 12 ounce curels. So look up all the overdoses or car accidents that resulteed in death due to mind altering substances and your number will be way more then 22 a day and it will shake America. Add on top of that with the proper educationa in the right places, to the right people, and a app that will remind us to push forward each day then what you have is the goverment and military with blinders on avoiding a garentee cure for our vets that are suffering a horrific pain. It cant be that simple right? Well it is and within two years and a lot of education the number of suicides I garentee would be at or very close to zero. However not doing anything or increasing funds to the same programs that haven worked is the better alternative you know it gives use all something to talk about. Leave no man or woman behind. Its time for something new and for articles like this one to get the facts straight.
