..."Michigan, where more than 25,000 people have died with confirmed or probable COVID-19 cases, again had the country’s highest seven-day infection rate Wednesday. It reported 17,000 new cases over two days and 280 additional deaths. The seven-day daily average, 8,165 as of Tuesday, was near its highest point of the 20-month pandemic, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Nearly 58% of residents ages 5 and up are fully vaccinated, below the national rate of nearly 63%. Roughly 27% of the fully vaccinated ages 18 and older have received a booster, above the 20% rate nationally."

Sheesh, I just read about a new variant in Africa the mutates twice as fast as Delta. The just discovered it, so they have no idea what that means as far as contagion or depth of sickness.

Whitmer has put Michigan through hell with mandates and lockdowns. And Michigan is currently leading the nation for COVID.

But we don't hear about how this is all due to the governor. Because Democrat. Same story, different spin.

Red state / blue state / purple state, the disease don't care. And your "prevention" measures ain't preventing nothing.

I also notice the very blatant shifting of goalposts which was casually thrown in. The majority are unvaccinated OR HAVEN'T GOTTEN A BOOSTER. Because if we admit that those who are vaccinated are still vulnerable, we ruin the narrative.

I ain't saying not to get the vax - I got it and have encouraged my entire family to do so, as well. But we need to be honest and realistic about what the shot does. It is not an actual vaccination in the classic sense in that it prevents catching or spreading the disease. All it does is reduce likelihood some, and reduce symptoms, some. You can still get the disease, still transmit it, still be hospitalized, even still die. You chances of all of these are reduced. That is all this shot does. Still worth it, because I am all about risk reduction. But it is reduction, not elimination.

The tyranny of Whitmer - and of the state and federal mandates - is not stopping the disease. Maybe it's time to try freedom.
