If you're gonna commit any crime, don't be a dope. Do it in California. We have a catch and release program that you'll just love

Although the teen hasn't been charged yet, which should have been a hasty process (6th Amendment), the teen needs to spend some time in jail for his crimes. In the end, I suspect the second strike of felony crimes with a firearm would end up as time served. Although, the adult nature of his second firearm offense means he hasn't learned anything and rehabilitation may not be an option. Some people are beyond help.
"Haymon’s case dates back to June 2018 when, at the age of 13, he was arrested on an armed robbery charge for allegedly stealing from an elderly man at gunpoint. He was quickly released on a $25,000 bond after waiving a preliminary hearing. Then, in February 2019, Haymon was arrested on an aggravated assault charge involving a gun and another teenager. Bail on the earlier charge was revoked because he was already out on bond for armed robbery when he was arrested for the alleged aggravated assault. Under state law, he was not entitled to another chance at bail."

Cpl (Join to see) I’m not so unhappy if he spends some time in lockup after being convicted. What I’m surprised and unhappy about is that he can be locked up that long without even being indicted.

SPC Kevin Ford I tend to agree. However, the DA seems to be the issue, and she is blaming everyone else. Shouldn't Akillie Malone-Oliver D. A. and Sheriff Wille March take some responsibility? It seems the majority are attempting to turn this into a "southern" race issue when both the Sheriff and the the DA share the same pigment.

Cpl (Join to see) - Yeah, the problems in the DA office shouldn't suddenly become the problems of the defendant. Yes there was some turn over in the DA's office, not the defendant's problem.
