When I enlisted in the Army, I was fascinated by the differences between those born and bred in cities vs those of us who had spent time close to nature. Things like watching a caterpillar morph into chrysalis and then into butterfly are fascinating. Still fascinating even after all these years. It was fun introducing the "city slickers" to them

As a “City Slicker” I too was introduced to nature not so much as the colorful and harmless butterfly but more on the line of malarial mosquitoes,assorted lethal vipers,blood sucking leeches,world class centipedes,Red Ants and a host of human hating flora and fauna of SouthEast Asia,then before my journey into “Nature “ came to a close ,thank God, the great state of Louisiana opened up new vistas with alligators,water moccasins,feral pigs,chiggers,fire ants and a few good ole boys who didn’t take kindly to Yankees,to say the sidewalks of Boston were welcome is an understatement,but the butterfly post was entertaining Jack,be well Brother
