I'm a bit surprised at this late 80s designed airframe being in demand. Here is a cheaper updated unit.

It took quite a few years to get the bugs worked out, but it is doing yeoman's work now

Let someone else make the heavy mistakes and you come in and mop up with refined knowledge. Looks like a great business move to me. Wish there was video of it flying.

Nothing of it actually flying, but when I see the Chiefs giving it the Warrant approval....I'll be happy. Looks like a blackhawk and osprey combined

Make no mistake about it, Japan is making this buy with an eye on China trying to muscle into all those islands in the East China Sea. V-22s represent quite a range and speed upgrade from the helicopters they had been using
