More this year than last and that includes the idiocy of putting seniors with COVID into nursing homes in 3 or 4 states last year...

PA had issues with that. Levine got promoted to Washington after the election, but actually we were glad to get rid of him/her. The person who took over immediately got things changed so those of us wanting to get vaccinated could. Why a podiatrist was qualified in our governors mind to lead our state in its fight against COVID is a mystery for all times. We have some of the best medical systems in the country around here, there were many qualified people they could have chosen to do it.

Actually, more Covid deaths occurred under Trump than there have been under Biden (thus far). By picking the end of 2020, rather than inauguration day (when Biden actually became President), the author helps shave off a few weeks and ~75k American deaths that occurred under Trump to allow for a misleading and alarmist headline. Plus, the article doesn't mention that the vast majority of the Covid deaths under Biden are people who refuse to get vaccinated, despite the vaccine being safe, readily available, and at no cost to them.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - now, his travel restrictions when the virus hadn't even been seen in the US yet.

SGT (Join to see) - "Their actions or inaction at the Federal level certainly contributed to the rate of spread of the pandemic (and therefore the deaths)."

You bias is showing professor.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - no, not completely, but he did slow the spread by keeping people from returning to the US from holidays in the middle of ground zero, including my girlfriend being stuck in Beijing for months.

SGT (Join to see) - Both Trump and Biden took actions and showed inaction. Both had deaths too. Yet again, you continue to debate with yourself.

Not entirely sure where you get your figures, when Biden took office there had been around 403,000 deaths. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/news-wrap-as-biden-takes-office-u-s-death-toll-from-covid-19-reaches-403000 As of 29 September 2021 the US total is 694,701, so Biden still has another 200,000 to go to equal Trumps record. The point is that had Trump taken the virus seriously in February 2020 our total deaths would be in line with countries that lost citizens too, not leading the world.

The statistics reporting more Covid 19 deaths in 2021 as opposed to 2020 are reported in USA, Forbes and other publications. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2021/10/05/covid-vaccination-mask-mandates-health-care-workers/ [login to see] /
