More Delays in Congress on Proposal to Have Women Register For Draft

What say you RP community? Is fair fair and equality really equal? Did the opening of combat arms to women logically and morally demolish any argument against women being treated equally by the Selective Service laws? One person commented in the article comments, "most women don't want to be registered for the draft". So? Arguably most men don't either. So should equality be administered equitably or not?

Can't pick and choose, gays still have to register now that it's accepted into the military. There's more then one job in the military that woman can be drafted for.

When you're talking about the government legislating equality, there's no such thing. The government trying to legislate in the name of equality is actually legislating more inequality because those who benefit from the legislation now have an advantage over those who were seen as previously having some mythical advantage.
