This actually doesn’t surprise me SGT (Join to see)...when I was a Probation/Parole Officer (81-83), we weren’t authorized to carry a weapon; so, I always took law enforcement with me while making an arrest. As a child abuse investigator in 89, I also utilized law enforcement on a regular basis.
With all the ‘defunding’ of Police and increase in the active role of MH professionals, it would make sense to have a weapon.
