SGT (Join to see) He isn't wrong. We used to play a game when watching TV, are the side effects of the cure worse than the disease. First off, none of these are available without a prescription, so why are they advertised on TV. Second most of the anti depressants state in the commercial that they can cause suicidal ideation in children and young adults. Third, what they now call ADHD was called being a kid, and when it got out of hand it wasn't met with medication, it was met with discipline from parents who didn't want their child to grow into an asshole. So he makes good points about how medicated kids and the population as a whole is nowadays.

PO3 Steven Sherrill He does make some good points. Too bad the doctors and the pharmaceutical companies are in cahoots.

In the detective business, that would be what we call a "clue."

Great, everyone talks action, but what? No one is giving examples on how to fix it. " Adults, Congress need to do something to stop us kids from being killed!" Great, everyone wants something done, but no one wants to wait and see what the facts were, and then come up with a plan. That is the same as the enemy is in front of us, we must take them out? Yeah, we could all jump over the wall and attack, that would be doing something, but I do not believe that would take care of the enemy issue. The main point is you need ti figure out exactly what before you jump in and ban things that had nothing to do with the problem in the first place.

TSgt Larry Johnson - Exactly who is “Everyone”? Have you ever been in combat or a fire fight? Of course there are plans, but then the enemy has plans too. Combat is a spur of the moment decision. This is not a spur of the moment decision situation, and it doesn’t require sitting their asses, discussing what can be done while another shooter is making plans. If the parents of these killers would start being arrested and fined for allowing firearms to be hidden, or not hidden, in their homes, they might take more of an interest in what their kid is up to. We had four. We were in their lives 24/7. When they had problems we got to the root of the problem. We spent many hours involved in their activities at school or at home. We had great rapport with the teachers and principals. Life wasn’t always peachy, keen, but we worked through it, one kid at a time.

SGT (Join to see) - Well, you cannot assume that just because someone is in the Air Force, they have never faced combat. That sir, was uncalled for. The "child" (19, same age as many of our military men/woman who carry assault weapons) bought the weapon himself, so that negates the parents hiding guns thing. The next shooter is already planning, so unless we can fix the mental health problem, or fix the NICS program very quickly, then they will be able to buy an AR-15, or any other version of the semi-automatic rifle and create carnage again. The object used is not the issue, mentally challenged kids seems to be the problem.
