More States Turning To Toll Roads To Raise Cash For Infrastructure

Here in TX for years under gov Ric Perry the state turned to private companies to build toll rods, which the state repaid from the tolls. Many people continually against toll roads because they felt that roads should be paid for by taxes, such as fuel taxes, Recently Republican governor told the Dept of Trans to not build any more toll roads period. So it now remains to be seen if the state legislature can come up with more tax money to fund new and upgraded roads without resorting to tolls. I will report back in 10-15 years with how that plan works out..
