Been going on for years. Why risk an operative getting caught when you can get all the info from afar? US Cyber Command and others are staying really quiet, which makes sense. Stuxnet is a good example of an offensive campaign that worked. Any that use social media need to be mindful and diligent with what they say. Unless you're on SIPRnet anything you post is essentially up for grabs. They really need to get Snowden home to find out what he's done. Offer him a deal if that's what it takes because the benefit outweighs the cost. Many disagree but that's just my opinion. He is not a Patriot though and needs to be held accountable but why cut off our nose to spite our face? The election should show us the value of an intrusion and we still don't know the magnitude. They are now looking at anomalies in PA, WI, and MI but I don't expect it to go too far unless the hackers were very sloppy; assuming there were any. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/23/hillary-clinton-election-vote-recount-michigan-pennsylvania-wisconsin

counterpoint on "stole election" claims (and Vox is a liberal source), sometimes there is no "there" there : http://www.vox.com/2016/11/22/13721426/election-hacked-stolen-trump-russia
Be very skeptical of stolen election claims
Take a deep breath and look at the evidence.
