John Lewis, civil rights giant, crosses Selma bridge final last time
Solemn crowds watched as Lewis, who died July 17 at the age of 80, was borne by caisson over the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

The last of a breed, he will be sorely missed, even by his enemies who must now face a different breed

I'd hate to say it, but over the years, somewhere the same party that he fought to have rights with, screwed him over and was taken over by the power rich white people. I'll admit that he worked and worked hard for the people, but like everyone else in DC, he was corrupted at some point and that didn't go over well. he became like everyone else in DC, a person for himself
