Do you have any documentation on this? I've never come across any such reference and Jews had a strong stricture against consanguinity in marriage and procreation.

I was unaware of this tradition among Muslims. The resulting lower IQ is scientifically proven. Without new stock being introduced to their collective gene pool they will eventually breed themselves out of existence.

Polynesians got around this by having bachelors travel between islands impregnating maidens. An interesting solution to small bands being isolated on small islands.

The big reason with animals new genes are imported into herds, i.e. horses, cattle, pigs, chickens - the lists go on. No different in humans.
