I come from three generations of first responders to include, PD,LE & FDs. Many are unsung heros, daily in their actions on and off duty. These feel good stories rarely make it to the main stream media. Many PD's require first aid & CPR trainings in the academy .
As a former Trauma nurse, if it were not for the first responders many would not be alive today.
I had to call 911 several times due to my dad's cardiac issues & again if it were not for them he would have passed sooner then he did.

"Should we go with the majority and honor and respect those who we call in our time of need?", YES,YES, YES!

As in any profession there are good and bad no need to stereotype PD/LE based on the few bad apples...

CPT (Join to see) This is an awesome story. Too bad it takes a tragedy for a police interaction to garner national attention. This officer didn't have to respond. He did so because he is one of the officers who is serving not for the authority, but out of a desire to make his community a better place. We need more stories like this.
