My step-daughter showed an interest in serving when I was an E-4. I took her to work with me and showed her what we did on a daily basis at an Air Station then walked over to view the Air Force daily routine. She no longer had any interest. It’s not for everyone.

MCPO (Join to see) Quite Effective! LOL! My Son was/is 4 F from Legg Calve Perthes and My Daughter Knew Better. Now I asked about My Eldest 3 Grandchildren and My Daughter (Who Married a Sailor) said No Way in Hell Her Daughters were serving but if Her Son wanted to that was Fine. LOL!

My brother wanted a career in the military. He did 3 years with a tour in Vietnam and had enough. My son joined and served 11 years. It can be very rough. I served 10 active 15 reserve. Young people make there choices. That is how life is.
