I think the British ichthyologist Ben Frable who tagged it as Aplatophis chauliodus AKA fangtooth snake eel is probably correct.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - I am trying to indicate the correct size of this sea creature which dwells at the bottom. If you do a search you will see other data and images.
1. Bottom dwellers tend to live under a lot of pressure.
2. If those creatures come to the surface expect they would expand in width not in length.
3. I read through the more creditable material on this creature and British ichthyologist Ben Frable has the most reasonable answer. Granted the observed creatures are no longer that 0.83 meters.
4. I expect the correct answer will be in the snake eel family.
