The House of Representatives can not trump the Constitution. We are seeing the criticality of a Constitutionalist on the SCOTUS.

Australia does not have the American Constitution! Who else is sick and tired of hearing out of these dimwits how good it would be if America became more like Australia. If they think it's so great, I'll drive them to the airport.

I know a few people on my gun groups on Facebook that are from Australia and a huge majority of the population are pissed about the gun laws and are trying to get them changed

For starters gun control is not about public safety as the numbers saved by guns far out weight those killed. CDC estimates anywhere between 500,000 to 3 million defensive uses in contrast to 300,000 violent crimes involving a firearm. As well him discrediting mental health as a contributing factor is a poor attempt at hiding the truth as suicide is a leading cause of death in America - as such a vast majority of gun fatalities are the result of suicides. This guy either doesn't know - which I find hard to believe - or he does know as is lying about the root problems to push his BS agenda. Either case is not a good foundation to be creating policy on.
Fatalities from firearms:
Per year on average -
65% of the deaths are by suicide which would never be prevented by gun laws - 25,145.25
15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified - 5,802.75
17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons - 6,576.45
3% are accidental discharge deaths - 1,160.55 - seems fixable - but hard to fix stupid
Total: 38,685 for 2017
Remove things gun control would have no affect on - suicides and LEO use - its down to 7,737
The "guns" vs a real problem in America - Opioids
Fatalities from drugs:
Opioids alone - 47,600 overdose deaths in 2017 - and that's only 67.8% of all drug overdose deaths.
All overdoses is more that 79,000
The CDC cites about 40% of these opioid-related deaths involved prescription opioids - 37% involves heroin. That's 17,612 death due to heroin.
Clearly gun control isn't about public safety as drugs are killing way more people. Why aren't the left - marching in the streets for tougher action on "drug control"? Like tighter control of the boarder and ports of entry.
What it's really about - short turn money. Its about stopping the NRA and firearm industry that supports conservative policy. Long term - which is really their ultimate goal - its about disarming conservative opposition.
The need for gun control is a LIE.

SPC David S. - Quite true. As one wag described the way the leftist propagandists work:
"They use statistics the way a drunk uses a lamppost -- for support, not for illumination".
"They use statistics the way a drunk uses a lamppost -- for support, not for illumination".
