It's fair to say, they don't have a basic understanding of economics and shouldn't be running a country. They have to steal, err tax the money for welfare. It's not even a null gain, it negatively affects the economy, because the bureaucrats have to take a cut of the stolen, err tax revenue to pay the government employees. These people are flat out ignorant.

Yeah, we'll all be carrying wheelbarrows full of cash just like they did in the Wiemar Republic. It's too bad politicians can't see the truth of it. Unfortunately, that wheelbarrow full of cash won't be enough for a gallon of milk or a dozen eggs.

There really is no reason not to help the needy, but when politicians use it as a means to bribe lazy people for a vote, that's when it begins to become a problem.
