Heliophysics! What is it? Who studies it? Why do they study it? All great questions and this morning I share with you a wonderful short video, which answers these questions and many others... I could add much more text here, but it would obviate the need for the video and actually would fail to provide the total understand the information provided by the oral presentation by many Physicists... I hope you will take the time to watch!

"The term heliophysics was coined in 1981 to denote the physics of the entire Sun: from centre to corona. It is a direct translation from the French héliophysique, which was introduced to provide a distinction from physique solaire which in practice was then confined to only the outer layers of the Sun."
