Thank you for sharing. I was chosen to experience a footshot in 1974. I was stationed at FE Warren AFB. We had just completed the transition from Minutemsn I missiles to Minuteman III command data buffer missiles. The footshot was for the very first MM III missile from our base. We installed the missile and attempted a launch. As it ended up our missile received an erroneous signal that shut down the launch at T-13 seconds. We were able to see a Titan 3C missile launch with a satellite on board. It made me proud and honored to work and witness the launches. Thanks again.
