Freeze Warning.
Temperatures will fall to around freezing by daybreak, possibly
damaging cold sensitive vegetation. Northwest winds will
occasionally gust between 20 and 30 mph through 2 AM then gradually
subside. Wind chill values by daybreak will be in the 25-30 degree
range.

...First Cold Snap of the Season....
.A Canadian air mass will continue to overspread central NC
overnight as brisk nw winds persist through the night.
Temperatures will fall through the 40s late this evening, and into
the 30s overnight, with sections of the western Piedmont likely
bottoming out around freezing by daybreak. While not a killing
freeze, cold sensitive plants or tender, newly sprouted, fall
vegetation may suffer slight damage.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Freeze
Warning, which is in effect from 4 AM to 9 AM EDT Monday.
* TEMPERATURE...30 to 32 degrees by daybreak.
* IMPACTS...These cold temperatures may damage unprotected cold
sensitive or newly sprouted vegetation.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A freeze warning means freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will damage crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
