I have family that is part of the Sioux nation in North Dakota. This story is not right. The Indian nations have a ton of money from gambling and the State and Federal government. The ones that want to be a part of the tribe (subject to the rules and regs set down by the tribe) and not just live on the land, live pretty well. Unfortunately, there are a lot that do not want to live by the laws, and their lives are much more difficult. This has been the case for decades. But what do I know over a HuffPost writer from NYC and Miami...

I agree there is more to this story. It needs a better study than a cheap click bait huffpo story. I would love to see some indepth reporting covering all aspects of this issue. Look at the tribes in NY State too.
