Navy Vet Gets Huge Surprise for His Non-Profit

Ellen surprised Navy veteran Dion Dawson, who created and runs the non-profit Dion’s Chicago Dream, along with his wife Crystal. He explained how his organization provides meals for the community to help combat the food desert on the south side of Chicago. Their free community fridges and free food delivery service have helped thousands, and despite accumulating credit card debt, Dion and Crystal are committed to feeding their fellow Chicagoans.
