Its certainly not at all unusual for Governmental agencies when they have been negligent to deny their responsibility for any matter. It is pretty much expected especially when it appears there may be a large number of victims. In every case it seems people have to fight for a fair solution or settlement while the agencies keep yelling how they aren't responsible even when they are. Often after decades of practices that did pollute and put people at risk thing rose to a critical point of no return and it could no longer be hidden. The Navy or any other service may try to ignore these things but often by the sheer volume of victims its comes out anyway and gets taken out of their hands.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint I thought I read 2 years ago a document indicating that this group of people would be cared for. So it seems currently the government has reneged on it's promise. I think President Trump should be vocal about this tyrn-about-face. Because our brothers and sisters in the middle East may get the same outcome concerning burnpits, sarin gas, and the list goes on.

I always wondered what was different about the burn pits nowadays vice the old burn pits in the Med and other Cruises.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint when I was a DAV Service Officer, I came across a few veterans that were exposed to burnpits. They said they threw everything in the pits. Some materials created fog, black smoke, a strange idor in the air radiated for miles.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard - SSgt Lint's question remains valid, but I'll add the pits in VN and I'll bet we could get some Korean and WWII folks testifying to the same pits during their wars. So what is the difference between the new and traditional burn pits?

they are only treating certain things. And they are not the problems most of us are having. A lot of us have teeth and bone issues stomach issues including Barrettes Esophagus. None of the are on the list. I am losing the cartilage in my joints and I am the only person this happened to in my family. but it is not related to my time there the say.

They're worried about money, and deny responsibility. The VA will still be paying this out as a disability rating for the side affects of exposure. None the less abandoning troops and their families is good practice for these organizations.
