This situation should be about Americans working with Americans to fix the problems. It should not be Americans attacking Americans and further increasing the divide. That is what LTG meant when he told the soldier in New Orleans to point their guns down.

Hindsight is 20/20. An African American was killed in his own apartment. One was suffocated in a choke hold. Another was killed by a knee to the neck. People calling to the police just because the skin color is darker. One man was chased by vehicles and was gunned down. I wish it never happened. We need dialogue, less riots, and less police brutality. Trump wants to escalate. How poor his judgment is.

So I assume your character assessment escapes the domain of hypocrisy... White people die in chokeholds all the time. It is a common self defense technique... In fact, Kenpo teaches japanese stranglehold to yellowbelts.... neck stomps are taught in a lot techniques of the system.. In Akron Ohio gangsters chased down a white UPS driver and robbed him at gun point, you can wish things don't happen all you like, but the world doesn't obey you because you are not a god.... and have no authority make edicts to people outside the sphere of your personal abyss...

A backwards/Forwards argument is fallacious, since it requires knowing things about the future... a better way of addressing problems is to state a vision and developing a plan to march towards the vision.
