Interesting, I guess I don't hang out in the correct circles to know this sort of thing. Now that I've read that it might be a thing I'm curious if I'll see it in the wild.

SSG Jessica Bautista - Hmmm, I guess it started with playing D&D around 1980 while in middle school (which was a move to maximize my popularity, let me tell you). Now days it' manifests in creating software for mobile devices. I have an awesome job, being a geek is good.

SPC Kevin Ford - geekdom is a hidden gem. I am more visual when it comes to statistics and whatnot, so D&D didn't interest me too much. I did play Heroes of Might and Magic (IV & V), and the Nintendo games we all grew up with. I am also a fan of the show Supernatural (mythology and lore references are pretty dang awesome), as well as the Harry Potter books (I enjoy the small details, so I haven't found much interest in the movies). Clearly, I am also super popular. Lately, I've been procrastinating with a website that I'm trying to build, mostly cause I only know HTML and that's not enough. What kind of software have you made thus far?

Started watching Supernatural but moved on. I'll have to give it another try.
For any good website it will partially be about the design and the user experience. You may want to look at some css frameworks like bootstrap, particularly if you are thinking responsive web sites (http://getbootstrap.com/).
As far as kinds of software I've created, it's primarily business applications of one stripe or another, B2E, B2C, B2B. For stuff you might see an an app store? Amica Insurance app, American Cancer Society, etc. A lot of the stuff is B2E and B2E and doesn't make it into public stores at all. Recently I've been working on an app for Cargill for dairy consultants. I know it doesn't sound interesting but it is fun learning how all these different industries work. I now know what a silage pile is, who knew? (well apparently diary farmers knew).

If this is your site, make sure that the filename case matches the URL. For root URLs (like http://example.com/) you must provide an index.html file.

SPC Kevin Ford - lol I concur. I like discovering new things that I wouldn't have searched for before. A friend has been hounding me to put this site up, but I still have more learning to do. I tried explaining the complications of trying build an entire site, but eh..
The plot gets sappy sometimes, but the humor is witty and gets meta because the fanbase is so dedicated. Verrrrry dedicated.
