Major, This would be a tough decision to make. I do hope the military provides a means to give individuals a program they can use to help them figure out which way to go. My company provided a PC program you could figure your 401k and it wasnt that far off. As a older worker quite a few of the younger guys would come to me and want to talk 401k. When i retired on e man came to me and thanked me for making him start the program. i didn't make him but I did strongly suggested it. Taking care of the younger guys, that was what it was all about.

The Army provides Soldiers personalized comparisons of the BRS vs. the High 3 plan. Soldiers just need to log into the MyArmyBenefits Retirement Calculator with their CAC or DS Logon. Visit MyArmyBenefits.us.army.mil and click on calculator, then retirement. It pulls the Soldiers’ personal data from Army databases to make the calculation. The calculator knows if you’re eligible or not for BRS and lets you vary the factors used to make the calculation.
