Interesting. See the potential for it. Education is a key component in improvement. Also see some pitfalls. For one, what counts as a PDU? It references college classes, exercises, and deployments. I assume the AF will roll out a regulation describing what is and is not 1 PDU. Another pitfall is who is tracking this? Does it fall on Supervisors to manage their Airmen's PDU's? Or will this be something handled by a personnel department member? Anyway, in an age of depleted man power, I can't see the wisdom of dropping this on overworked supervisors or pulling manning away from needed operations to ensure there are non operational people to care for this. Finally will the Air Force allow work hour college classes now that its a "requirement". It will be interesting to hear how this works in the future. I am honestly hoping for the best but if Supervision doesn't put their full weight behind this than I for-see many a December coming and Airmen scrambling to get 24 PDU's by the end of the year. Good Luck
