Stop changing the uniforms; it costs too much all the way around.

The difference in the pants for the Army's most recent PT uniform change was an Army emblem. Not warm at all and clearly designed to pad someone's pocket. Army and Air Force wearing the same field uniform again is wise.

In the end its the troops at the lower level that get screwed with all this uniform changing, I am glad I am no longer playing that game as my attic can't fit anymore "UPDATED" uniforms. While that was a good article the military across th board needs to seek out the Uniform Good Idea fairly and kill it. I can safely predict that a new improve uniform will roll out in the next few years as uniform supply contracts are handed out like candy and the troops have to play catch up with their pay, time and effort to be in compliance with all this BS.

While the constant changes are hard on the wallet of younger airmen (although, they should be getting a clothing allowance to help with this, and it didn't happen over night, so....), this one needed to happen. The ABU was an awful uniform. It was not practical, it was not comfortable, and I'm sorry but whoever decided on the green boots should be drawn and quartered. Hopefully this one will stick around for a while.

Having worn now three uniforms, starting with BDUs, this one is my favorite across the board. Comfortable and practical.
The green boots were designed for the 'lawn and garden detail,' they did not want you to stain the other boots...
