SGT (Join to see) I think that the sponsors of the article (Priceline, Kayak)have a vested interest in those comments. Are they believable? Probably. Will most workers change their behavior? No, imo.

That's probably because they didn't use most of them. I use all five weeks of my earned vacation every year after taking 20 years to earn that fifth week. You can't take it to use later and there's no guarantee later ever comes.

SGT Jacqueem S. A little redundant. Sorry about that. I did read it. It's just a shame so many Americans don't use all there vacation and regret using it for obligatory reasons. To me that's just part of being a good family member or friend.

Not high ranking civil servants who are too “vital” to be absent from their positions using their vacation time! When they retire, that unused vacation time is cashed in for a huge windfall!

Executive privileges allow them to be away from their office on “duty” while in a resort atmosphere for “meetings”.
