Russia's missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk is now known to have killed eight people and injured more than fifty.

Officials say a restaurant, shopping centre and apartment buildings were at the epicentre of the explosions.

Arnaud De Decker is a freelance journalist who was in the restaurant just 10 minutes before the strike. He told Newsday that the eatery was a popular meeting place for “soldiers taking a break from the frontlines (and) also civilians and volunteers and journalists”. He said the aftermath “was horrible, wounded people everywhere, people screaming under the rubble”.
