In poor countries, self-isolation due to Covid-19 is a daily challenge for those who have to earn a living. But despite the odds, 100 widowed mothers in Iraq’s southern city of Karbala are now manufacturing thousands of face masks for the local health authorities. They have orders for 300,000 - which could earn them $50,000 as a group - and are now being assisted by local tailors who've lost work because of the outbreak.
