The extreme right and left have drawn such a hard line, I am not sure if things will ever change. The indoctrination of the right will be a tough hurdle to overcome as will be the indoctrination of the left. Until change comes this country will stay divided and there will not be any compromise. I can see issues on both sides and those that don't are slipping away.

CPT Jack Durish I hope the left fights back as well. The right's propaganda machine is just as culpable and it's time for us as Americans to help bring about change. If anyone pretends this is just a left or right issue they are just fooling themselves.

CPT Jack Durish - I apologize for not specifying which right wing propaganda machine. Just like on the left, there are many. To name a few: Fox news, facebook (right and left), and Koch-funded propaganda machines such as the (501c) Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity in Medora, North Dakota which went from a budget of $0 in 2008 to $2.4M in one year (in a town of less than 100 people). I can provide a list of left propaganda machines too if you would like.

It's clear that they as well as Twitter and YouTube are on a campaign to stifle any conservative opinion. That is clearly and easily demonstrable and if you insist otherwise, there is no hope for honest dialogue. Okay, Fox News - has some conservative commentators, but I don't think the youth are listening to them, do you? Franklin Center and Public Integrity produce opinion pieces. I have never seen any of these (including Fox) financing or inciting mob activities. What is the Right Wing or conservative equivalent of Antifa or student groups who are physically attacking all who dare disagree with them. No, the Neo Nazis are not a "Right Wing" group. They are an outlier in a world of their own and do not represent or enforce conservative views. They're more about bigotry. Now, let's talk about the indoctrination in our schools and on campuses. Where is the conservative voice there? National polls of teachers demonstrate that the conservative presence among them is not statistically significant and that any who are not progressive Leftists must keep their opinions to themselves or suffer the consequences of school administrators and their fellow faculty members who will vilify them.

So, because I have liberal views, I'm an "alcoholic?" Because I believe in caring for my fellow man, or that there should be equal pay for both women and men, or that abortion is a personal and private matter, I'm an "alcoholic?" Because I believe in the 1st Amendment, I'm an "alcoholic?" Because I believe the person occupying the office of POTUS should understand that he works for the American people, not the other way around? $12 million for a military parade? What about Puerto Rico (an American territory)? What about the water in Flint, MI? What about "bailing out" farmers with $12 BILLION of taxpayer money because farmers are going to lose out on this tariff war? The right's agendas regarding "family values" when your POTUS has been married three times, cheated on ALL wives. Separating children from their parents to enforce immigration laws, yeah, that was a GREAT idea. The sad part about this fiasco of a chaotic administration is THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. Party lines, not the American people. Screw the rest of the global community. I guess all the propaganda movies I watched as a kid in the 60's during the height of the Cold War meant nothing - you know, the ones about how great America is, how we help others, etc. I am for the 2nd Amendment, but also for some type of gun responsibility - you have to go to school to learn how to drive, take a test, then get a driver's license to drive an automobile. The same should be applied for ownership of a weapon which can kill people - learning responsible gun ownership. Don't even get me started on the dumbing-down of education. This nation is so divided now. There's a POTUS in office who exploits violence, divisiveness and chaos. His insecurity and lack of leadership skills is embarrassing. I wonder if HE could pass a United States Citizenship test.

For some reason you keep "popping up" on my email feed for Rally Point. I have no further comments on this subject. I call Republicans "Repukes" because that's my right to say so. Republicans don't seem to care about moving forward or any kind of progression. Republicans want to take away my right to choose, bring back coal energy, take away our basic rights as human beings, tax the middle class more and the rich less, continually lie to the Amercian public, take away money funding public education, I could go on and on. But I'm wasting my time and breath having my positive energy sucked out by brainwashed people who support the moron-in-chief. If it makes you feel better, please continue to berate me on my "measured" responses and "inescapable logic for all to see." Moving on.
