No Afghan family members of U.S. troops have been eligible to come to the U.S. Here’s why

Get them to the southern border and then they can cross over.
Apparently this administration doesn't care about those entering from there.

Red tape, you would think exceptions could be made.

It just seems that they are doing their best to not let them come, I have read reports that the State Department will not even allow charter flights bringing those left behind to the U.S. nor will they vouch for the flights to allow them to fly to another country first.
