I remember my first deployment in early 1987. Our XO was big into Country and Western and every time we'd do an unrep and go to break away, he'd play, "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson. One time, after being underway for about two straight months, we did an unrep and when we went to break away, he played, "Waltzing Matilda". Everybody went crazy. 400 plus men all thinking we were going to get a port visit in Australia. Didn't happen. I'm still not sure how Waltzing Matilda connects to Mombasa, Kenya, or if the XO was just messing with us.

Nice one. I like No Doubt and all of that 90's alternative sound. Many good bands back then with Nirvana leading the way. Too bad most of them check out too early.
