Nominee to lead US Forces Korea says pause in exercises there has hurt readiness

Let's get ahead of the blame game. If not coordinating our exercises for six months has taken that big a toll we are doing something wrong. I don't believe they are not doing local stuff

I could believe that. I was at CP Humphreys, and anything less than field exercises are inadequate.

Well in my opinion @mason Carpenter, anyone can continue and use scenario trainings based on passed incidents in the field. But the bottom line to all of it, is how prepared the soldier is when they get to the situation they may or may not have trained for.

The military only prepares you for what’s to come. But no one but those, like your NCOs and field COs really know what this shit is out there. Personally I would learn as much as you can while you can and don’t ever be that guy that did what he could to slack off and get out of stuff.

In the end non of it matters till matters. And by then it could be too late.
