Not too many upsides to engaging the missiles if they are not going to hit anything, well except to make ourselves feel better. Hit or miss we give out information about our capabilities. Just miss and it is a PR disaster.

If NK if firing missiles over allied territory, we should be doing something about that.

If NK was firing missiles over Alaska, would we just sit idly by because they weren't actually hitting the land? I don't think so.

@bryan zeski Perhaps, but looking at them geographically it's hard to image what direction they would shoot such a test that isn't going over someone without going almost straight up and down like some of the earlier ones did.
