IIRC, the Brits were making Sten guns not in factories, but in garages, workshops, etc. all over England during WWII. The cost was $9 each.

I've fired Stens, CW3 Harvey K.. They behaved liked they cost $9 each!

LTC Stephen C. -As I heard one less-than-competent pistol shot say about the .45, "Well, I can always use it as a club".
Maybe that was the immediate action on stoppages with the Sten.

The AR isn't too bad to do, but I've seen them go bad. Never done a Glock, but it shouldn't be too hard if you have a jig. Unless you have your own mill the 1911 should be left to a competent gun smith with the proper tools.
