I would surmise that like any other tycoon, Trumps Returns are being revised and worked over even years after submission. I would think like any other politician his opponents would gladly dissect his returns and formulate a story about how "evil" some of the companies he invested in are.
Sometimes people will stretch the facts to the limit. I remember in the late 80s Rosie O'Fatass tried ti say Tom Selleck was an arms dealer because he with a Walmart Commercial, and Walmart sold guns.

Likely they would create controversies (fair or not), he's not legally required to and he isn't being politically required to, so he doesn't.

To answer your last question First yes he is flipping all those that are demanding it the Bird. He doesn't have to release them and lets be honest as much as the left like to lie and twist things he is smart to not release them They love to play 7 degrees of separation mean your a (insert insult here).
As for this "Writer" not really a surprise. In fact I am surprised it hasn't happened with the IRS on board to target Conservative groups its blatant cover ups and leftist leanings. I am shocked they have not been leaked laws and rules be dammed... because lets face it the Left feel that anything they do is ok and anything the Conservatives to should be punishable by firing squad.
