SGT Damaso V Santana - The SSG. may not have been aware of your back story Sir. I wasn't until now.
I can not write for the SSG. But, from his posts I do not think he would condone behavior such as Castro's. His tone is much deeper. He may have experienced some events that cause him to feel/think a certain way. He smells a rat in Trump.
We maybe ripe for a Trump in this country due to the racial and class division sown these last 50 years.
Peace,
M. Morris RVT

Cpl Mark A. Morris - Make it the last 8, that would be much more accurate.
RP like the rest of this country is infiltrated and the sooner people realize it the better.
The Useful Fools will spew the party line, defend the progressive movement and demean and try to destroy those who see it differently.
I suggest the rest of us start behaving as fervent as they do and do our best to destroy the foreign ideology they are already implanting in the US.
Those that do not agree should go to their crying boxes, play with their putty and little puppies, or join them, there is no Middle Ground in this deal.

Wow. I take a break from RP and come back to all this?
First, SGT Damaso V Santana I was saying that your comments about Obama were hateful. My bad for not clarifying.
Lastly, I do know and remember what you went through and if you still want to hold on to that anger and hatred even after the man you hate is dead, then I got nothing for ya. If you are still angry at Obama for daring to repairing relations with a former enemy, then I got nothing for ya. BLUF, you CHOSE to be angry and the only person you end up hurting is yourself. Re-read everything you wrote. All you are is angry and you feel like you are justified for having it and at one time you were. Now, both things you hated are gone and you are still angry as if it's the only thing you have. I guess what I'm saying is GET OFF THE CROSS! Someone else might need the wood. Just because you've had shitty things happen to you doesn't make you special or your issues more important than anyone else. You aren't some unique snowflake that everyone has to get our of the way for because your pain is somehow greater than everyone else. You want to know about pain? How about 439 years of captivity? You want to know about injustice? How about being conquered by an imperialist nation and being relegated to scattered parcels of land no one wanted. You want to know oppression? Try being Jewish in 1940s Germany or Bosnian in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s. You aren't special and you don't get to corner the market on anger or pain because EVERYONE has their story and their stories, quite frankly, are worst than yours. Get over yourself.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - Snowflake or special I am not, but I will call out wrong when I see it, I will denounce collusion when I see it and I will say that obama is an apologist for not calling a mass murderer one, or even a dictator, that is called being an apologist and I will call him on it, my choice.
As to whom I hate or not, that is my right and will always be on the lookout for their "likeminded fellow travelers".
No need to reply, apparently you carry your own hatred within you, except in the case of "439 years of captivity" you have the right to walk away. We might not be a perfect nation but try and express yourself in this manner, in Cuba for instance, you would never be heard of again.

Ummmm Cubans come by boatloads, and if they touch ground, they are given asylum. That's also known as an illegal alien, but more to that later. A Hispanic from Mexico down) crosses illegally and all hell breaks loose. Hati is right next door, and when they come over, it doesn't matter if they had sex on the beach in America, they will be sent back. I saw your posts below, and it matters and it doesn't matter. If your family was affected by Castro, that is a terrible thing, if your family liked Castro, that is on them, and their choice. It doesn't matter being they are 90 miles from the lowest of the FL Keys. Touch the soil and you're golden. I know of no other ethnicity that has a perk of "Wet feet, dry feet policy". And Obama didn't even make this policy either. He did the right thing. Normalize relations with Cuba, and sit and watch how democracy and assloads of money make former enemies "friends". If you think Trump doesn't see this "golden opportunity" and won't exploit it, you're insane. It also helps stem the tide of Cubans fleeing in questionable boats or whatever could carry them to the us. If you cannot see that last line WILL save lives, something is wrong, and Obama isn't it. If you can't see normalizing relations took the "sting" out of Castro's rule, don't know what to tell you. We "won". We waited, choked them to the point of failure, and it worked. Castro's passing is a good thing for the people of Cuba. Now maybe they too can get a piece of the pie rather than the "ruling party" getting it all.

Right and Wrong-The so called Embargo never worked, it became a propaganda tool for the castro brothers. All of our "Allies" have been doing business in Cuba for the past 50 years.
The feet dry policy was an act for political refugees, it should have been abolished long ago, we have billy boy to thank for that, yes, clinton.
No, democracy and assloads of money will not make this "always" enemy, friends, they have a system where that is a non issue.
The only thing that might bring about a change in the death of this bastard and hopefully soon the death of his Mini Me, Raul.
Sadly obama's policy only serves to enable them going on. The "deal" orchestrated by the pope with castro was for the US to come in and replace Venezuela (presently a colony of Cuba for all practical purposes which gave millions of barrels of oil to Cuba for free to sell, now presently bankrupt ) by giving aid to the enemy. obama gave and gave, asked nothing in return, which is a pity, considering that "The Ladies in White" who peacefully attend church and then march are beaten on a daily basis, incidentally, the ladies who number in the thousands are close to 90% Black and they represent thousands of political prisoners who rot in prison just by being dissidents, obama should have taken this into consideration but not surprising since he has done as much here in the US.
No, no legacy here, just a trail of disgrace and aid to an enemy who hates, but takes, however gives nothing in return, surprised he didn't use castro "JV'.
To totally obviate the words, "Tyrant, Dictator and Mass Murderer" in describing fidel castro, makes obama pitiful and a Liar, but then again, he has never called "islamic Radical Jihad"by its proper name, hey why start now.

SGT Damaso V Santana - None of our "Allies" are 90 miles from their shoreline. None of our "Allies" had to deal with a nuke threat, that could've destroyed the entire east coast of America. So if you have distance to separate you and their weaponry, you could almost do whatever you want. You're not affected being in Europe. I know Castro opened the prisons and let the worst of the worst come here. At the same time, damn near every PM in Europe has done the same. We don't want you, go here. I agree that Clinton was responsible for this policy, but it doesn't remove the fact that they are the only nationality this works for. Castro is gone. His brother has mentioned "normalizing" relations with the west even when Fidel was still alive. But to flex a little bit and make a "show" he demanded we leave GITMO...like that'll ever happen.
We can either invade Cuba which would make us look like straight up bitches( even if it was a humanitarian mission), we could put the freeze on them again, or we can make them think they have the "power", but the "power" is in the form of dead presidents in our pockets. They know that, and so do we. No man will live forever in power. Can't be done. I believe we are watching the slow death of Communism, and I'm good with that. People should be free, allowed to buy and sell at will, and have access to unfiltered news. All of which the peoples of Cuba don't have now.
Change is not an overnight occurrence. Obama might've started it, but it'll really take hold once the youth begin to believe it possible. Me and you might not even see when it happens, but that doesn't mean it won't. Personally I want Cuba to succeed. It's a win win situation for their GNP, and for businesses both here and in Cuba.

SSG Warren Swan - Love you man, I appreciate your words and thoughts. There is one thing that we cannot ever do, irrelevant if the name is obama or trump, and that is to help perpetuate the dictatorial family dynasty, we must also call things for what they are a tyrant dictator is just that, why is it so hard for POTUS to say it, don't care anyone else but if he had done it he would have the undying respect of a nation, I include myself in there.

SGT Damaso V Santana - Brother you cam call me naive and that might be fair, it might eve be truthful in some things. But I want the best for pretty much everyone. I can roll over and know what suffering feels like. I can pick up the phone or my remote and hear and see it. The falling of Communism on our side of the world would be one of the greatest triumphs any president, or person can hope for. Not many open communist societies left, and Hugo died, and even his country is going through the motions where they know it's dead, but want to hold on. I cannot tell you why anyone else to include the POTUS does what he does. Bush Jr. went through hell when he refused to say "We are at war with Islam". He never ever said that, and maintained his position till the end, and it made sense. Why give a word that has a LOT of power(war), the ability to reshape your goals as POTUS? Had he said that, both of us might still be in uniform fighting that word with the worlds second largest religion, that is only getting bigger. IMO Bush jr. did the right thing, and Obama is too. The United States moves for no one, but others move for the United States. I love the thought of that. It tells me no matter what you say behind the scenes, or on state sponsored tv, We're STILL the only Micheal Jordan in the world. Russia and anyone else is still trying to catch up to be Scottie Pippen. One thing Cuba has that we are suffering from is it's the donor, billionaire, and millionaire classes. With those three, Big (anything), has it's roots. And like Cuba, the "power" they carry is substantial, but needs to be stomped on, and stamped out. Pipe dream, but possible. Castro lived a long life and hrt a lot of families. I give Cuba 10 years and he'll be rolling in his grave knowing what he did for all these years was based off the sweet taste of absolute power, and now the people have it. Take care Castro.
