On a frigid, December day, a homeless man sat quietly in the back room of a downtown drop-in center, sipping coffee and reading "A Virtuous Woman" by Kaye Gibbons.
Wulf, as he's known on the streets, is the self-appointed librarian at Veteran's Coming Home Center in Springfield. He loves a good book.
The 65-year-old takes great pride in the library with its thousands of donated books he meticulously keeps organized alphabetically by author's name.
Wulf, whose real name is Kenneth Bailey, said he served with the Marines as a cook during Vietnam. He has been homeless, on and off, since 1984.
It's been six years since the White House and Veterans Affairs announced an ambitious goal to end veteran homelessness by the end of 2015.
