Despite what some might believe I do not generally consider myself a supporter of President Obama. I disagree with him on most policy issues and overall think he's been a very ineffective President.
Still I'm not one to jump onboard the bandwagon of vilifying someone because I disagree with them and I always try to give credit where it's due.
IMO this is a great response to the completely empty talking points being spouted by Trump and "Conservatives".
I know many here on RP are very much and very passionately opposed to President Obama and seemingly everything he's ever done, said or thought and I'm curious what others think about this issue. I would like to see if we can keep this discussion civil and free of frankly childish name calling.

I think when some say radical Islam they are referring to people of Islam faith who have gone to the point of murder.
I think the president takes the use of the term to mean all Islam is radical.
Hence two completely different opinions.

That said accusing all Muslims of being radical is wrong and so is denying that there are some Muslims who are radical.

Exactly this is a war on anyone who doesn't fall in line with their terrorist beliefs, and if Americans or West continues to use broad strokes and label ALL Muslims as following a terrorist religion-- it will cause Muslims to sympathize with the enemy and be recruited. This is how "Men" grown ups speak without being in their emotions. This is serious Troopers!

Can't agree with the statement that it will recruit them. No proof has ever been shown that appeasement stops someone who hates you from trying to harm you. Strength is respected, not appeasement.
Also, I think most people want to believe that not all Muslims are bad but when we don't hear condemnation from Muslims they get lumped in. When something bad happens and almost ALL of the Muslim nations cheer on social media, they are adding fuel to that fire.

You never hear Obama speak highly of Chrisianity or Judaism. When he talks about Christains it is to tell them to get off there high horse. And rattles on about the Crusades. If he could he would give all of Isreal to the Palistinians. I don't know if he is a Muslim. But that is were his heart is.

Obama needs to read some history of the US. The West has been fighting Islam since early in our history. Even some of our early presidents spoke of it. Islam hates the West. It is that simple.
