Obama, World Leaders Discuss Keeping Nuclear Weapons from ISIS

There was an incident that has largely gone unreported or under reported in recent news. Two days after the Brussels' attacks a nuclear power security guard in Belgium was murdered and his security badge was stolen. According to the report, the guard was found dead in the bathroom of his home. The man’s stolen security credentials were deactivated soon after the discovery. This report is distressful because, "nuclear power plants are among the potential targets of the terrorists responsible for the attacks in Brussels." There was a list of potential targets left on one of their computers. This enhances concern over Nuclear power plants as targets of ISIL.

Because of the Brussels attacks and a new sense of urgency, President Obama will preside over a session that focuses on the effort to "degrade and destroy," the Islamic State. Most of the nations attending the summit also are part of the 60 member coalition that the U.S. has assembled to fight ISIS. White House officials say that various members need to step up their contributions to the coalition's counterterroism operations.
