While I agree that after four or even eight years in office, any President to include Obama deserves a vacation. However, we are also flipping the bill for his security. I wonder what the total cost for his security will be? But what really gets to me is this "Presumably, the former president scored a deal on the stay since the Borgo Finocchieto is owned by one of his appointees, the former Italy Ambassador John Phillips." Hmmm the good old boy system.

Absolutely terrible for Presidents, or former Presidents, to use their political status for private enjoyment! There should be a law or something... maybe the current administration could put in an Executive Order prohibiting Presidents or former Presidents from spending government money on family/friend owned resorts...

Suddenly we want to debate what a former President and First Lady can and cannot do after they leave office? Is any other media other than Fox News paying so much attention on what Obama is doing now he's out of office? Oh it's Left wing activists and Bernie supporters contacted by Fox News making these comments. Well lets get them on TV, I would love to know why suddenly this is an issue. I don't quite remember this much attention by media when Bush left office or when Clinton left office. Somehow we respected their privacy but not the Obama family.
