During the"Early Voting" period Texans cast more votes than ~all~ the votes cast by Texans in the 2016 election. I'm sticking with the Constitution and waiting for the mail-in cutoff; waiting for the votes to be thrown out that were postmarked too late to be counted, waiting for every single legitimate vote to be hand counted after the largest mail-in election in US history. These "early calls" for elections have resulted in Gore v W and Clinton v Trump. To call an election early and then flip it makes folks question the integrity of the elections and whether their votes are legally counted.

I am privately persuaded that Biden won, but I won't be saying it until the Electoral College is counted and the formal announcement is made. If he did, what is the harm in waiting until the official count is complete.
Maybe if we all followed the rules we would trust our process and our nation would not be suspicious of our fellow citizens.
