The first Time we saw it we were on the US side at Falcon Lake State Park. You could see it across the lake at the south side of the dam. The lake was down plus they were generating electricity.

On occasion members of our Laredo BP Marine Unit would get detailed to the Zapata station at Falcon lake. On one detail I was the driver for the team during the drought and the guys had me take the boat to the Old Guerro ruins before the water exposed the whole building in the picture. Only the top half was exposed at that point. We tied up to the building and took our lunch break there. It was really cool to walk around there months later when the water was even lower. Good share Senior Chief.
